GO KIT Suggestions
       Customize this list for the situation and circumstances

I. FOOD (to be placed in one cooler and/or one paper bag)
     A. No stove is available. Only take food that can be eaten cold or micro waved.
     B. Although the EOC may have a refrigerator, do not count on space being available.
     Bring a cooler with two or three reusable freezer packs to be frozen as necessary.
     C. Bring change for the soda machine.
     D. Keep meals simple as time and facilities will be in short supply. Suggest cold
     sandwiches (i.e. peanut butter and jelly); cold vegetables, fruits, cookies and snacks
     and your favorite beverage.
     E. Hard candies (for sore throats)
     F. Canned soup.
     G. All cooking and eating implements (cup, plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon, can opener)
     H. Paper Towels

II. SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS and CLOTHING (one duffel bag)
     A. Sleeping bag with mattress pad and a pillow.
     B. Blanket (it may be cold!) and Fan (it may be hot!)
     C. Enough shirts, socks and underwear for the time you expect to be there, plus a few
     more things, just in case!
     D. Comfortable pants, you will be sitting for a long time.
     E. Comfortable inside shoes.
     F. Alarm Clock to get you up for your next shift.
     G. Medications, both prescription and over the counter
     H. Toilet kit for your stay (plus a little more just in case!) Hygiene and grooming supplies
     such as comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, towels etc. Consider there may be a few
     days without showers.
     I. Packages of facial tissue and pre moistened wipes.

III. RADIO EQUIPMENT and GENERAL GEAR
     A. Depending on the situation HT and/or transceiver.
     B. Speaker mike, headset, accessories.
     C1. Notebook computer. Do not plan on using any devices that need Internet, cell
     towers and similar. Test devices in airplane mode to be sure that the function needed is
     independent of external services.
     C2. Any data on CDs or USB drives may not be allowed in other computers
     D. Your own book with scripts, frequency charts or repeater lists you will need.
     E. Pen, Pencils, Forms (Radiogram, ICS-213, etc.) legal pads with hard back or clip
     board. Also masking and clear tape, paper clips, stapler with spare staples.
     F. Flashlight with extra batteries.
     G. AM/FM Battery Radio with earphone.
     H. A GPS that is independent of Google or similar. Consider local paper maps.
     I. Telephone long distance prepaid card
     J. Supply of cash in smaller denominations ($1, $5, $20) and Checks
